Marathon Fire Rated is a system developed as part of a 30 minute sliding fire door assembly to BS476: Part 22: 1987 and should be installed on the nonfire risk side of an aperture. The hardware should be fitted with a certified FD30 fire door.
With two variations available, you can choose between our FDK1 self-closing or FDK2 non selfclosing system. Please consult your Building Inspector prior to purchase to determine if your application requires a self closer.
Assessment report WFRC No. C116602 confirms that a sliding fire door assembly, fitted in accordance with these instructions, will offer 30 minutes of fire protection in accordance with BS476: Part 22: 1987, (ref: report Warres No. 40991). To be used for fire control only, cannot be used for smoke control.
Note: A Marathon 90 (S3, S4, S5 or S6) sliding door hardware kit must be used in conjunction with this system
