The DORMA PHA 205 (part of the DORMA PHA 2000 Series) is a surface-mounted,panic bolt designed for non-fire-rated commercial and institutional escape doors. Engineered with top and bottom vertical locking points, it ensures reliable perimeter security when closed while providing immediate, uninhibited egress under emergency conditions in full compliance with EN 1125 standards.

Because this model is specified for non-fire-rated installations, it includes a mechanical dogging mechanism (latch holdback). This allows the vertical shoot bolts to remain retracted during business or operating hours for free push/pull access, reducing wear during high-traffic periods.

Key Features

Two-Point Vertical Locking: Heavy-duty top and bottom shoot bolts provide dual-point latching into the head frame and threshold for enhanced mechanical security and wind-load resistance.
Integrated Dogging Device: Hex-key mechanical holdback retracts the vertical bolts to allow unrestricted two-way passage during peak traffic (a convenience exclusive to non-fire-rated hardware).
Non-Handed Modular Design: Reversible configuration accommodates both left-hand and right-hand single doors, as well as the passive leaf of rebated or non-rebated double doors.
Anti-Thrust Protection: Security latches feature an anti-thrust mechanism to prevent forced retraction via shimming or external tampering.
Clean Architecture: Fully enclosed vertical rod covers and concealed fixings protect against vandalism and maintain a clean profile.
External Trim Compatibility: Pairs seamlessly with DORMA PHT series external levers or pull trims for keyed outside entry.
